Job description

This position is for an engineer on the S3 Engineering team, focusing on maintaining and improving cloud storage solutions for government customers. The role involves troubleshooting complex system operations and implementing innovative cloud computing solutions for the U.S. Intelligence Community. Engineers will work on automating processes and enhancing service health while collaborating with top experts in cloud computing. Candidates must possess an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.

Requirements

  • Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • 2+ years of systems administration experience in Linux and/or Networking
  • 2+ years of experience with cloud computing technologies
  • Experience debugging and systems analysis to identify and quickly resolve or mitigate issues
  • Experience with one or more scripting languages such as Python, KornShell
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent work experience

Responsibilities

  • Investigate new ways to improve operations and define solutions for complex cloud issues.
  • Maintain service health by analyzing performance metrics and logs.
  • Deepen service knowledge by understanding system architecture and dependencies.
  • Build and launch AWS services from hardware ordering to software deployment.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to support service availability.
  • Support the U.S. Intelligence Community and Defense agencies with innovative cloud solutions.
