This role is part of the Microsoft AI Superintelligence Team, which focuses on creating advanced multimodal datasets to train AI models. The team aims to push the boundaries of AI towards Humanist Superintelligence, ensuring that systems remain controllable and aligned with human values. Candidates will work in a collaborative environment, contributing to the development of data infrastructures that support large-scale AI model training. The position requires a proactive attitude and a passion for exploring new technologies in data management.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Computer Science, Math, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field AND 6+ years experience in business analytics, data science, software development, data modeling, or data engineering OR Bachelor's Degree in the same fields AND 8+ years experience OR equivalent experience.
- 4+ years experience with data governance, data compliance and/or data security.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop data pipelines that ingest enormous amounts of multi-modal training data.
- Own and maintain critical data infrastructures, including Spark, Ray, vector databases, and others.
- Build and maintain infrastructure that can store and process petabytes of data needed for model training.
- Partner with pretraining and post-training teams to improve data recipes through careful experimentation.
