The Member of Technical Staff – Full Stack – Engineering Manager at Microsoft AI will lead high-performing teams to develop capabilities for the Copilot product. This role emphasizes strong leadership, architectural guidance, and fostering a collaborative engineering culture. The position involves hands-on coding, technical contributions, and working across the full stack, including backend, middle-tier services, and front-end automation. Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline AND 6+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- 3 years of people management experience.
- Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python is preferred.
- 4+ years of people management experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Hire, manage, and lead a team of software engineers responsible for delivering secure, reliable, and scalable products.
- Ship AI powered experiences that will shape how millions of people will interact with AI in the future.
- Collaborate with engineering, design, and product leadership to prioritize features and deliver a world-class AI companion.
- Write and review code, ensuring quality, maintainability, and performance while setting high standards for engineering excellence.
- Guide architecture and design efforts by leading discussions and creating proposals and design documents.
- Build and maintain testing strategies, ensuring comprehensive coverage and effective automation.
- Drive implementation of features and systems, breaking down long-term goals into clear milestones.
