Microsoft AI is seeking a talented Backend engineer to contribute to the development of the personalized AI assistant, Copilot. The role involves working within the Growth engineering team, which focuses on user acquisition, engagement, retention, and feature development. This position requires a commitment to building secure and performant APIs for mobile applications.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.
- Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.
Responsibilities
- Build secure and performant APIs that power Copilot iOS and Android apps.
- Collaborate with iOS, Android engineers, Product Managers, platform engineers, data scientists, and marketing to drive user growth, engagement, and retention.
- Optimize onboarding flows, improve product features, and deliver scalable infrastructure.
- Ship high-quality, well-tested, secure, and maintainable code.
- Find a path to get things done despite roadblocks to deliver work quickly and iteratively.
- Work in a fast-paced, design-driven, product development cycle.
- Partner closely with data science teams to analyze user behavior and optimize product features.
