The Senior Hardware Electrical Engineer for Hearables at Google will be part of a team focused on developing custom silicon solutions for consumer products. This role involves working on next-generation hardware experiences that deliver high performance and efficiency. The Platforms and Devices team aims to innovate and enhance user interactions with technology. The engineer will collaborate with various teams to push the boundaries of hardware design and integration.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 4 years of experience working in consumer electronics products, or 3 years of experience with an advanced degree.
- 3 years of experience in embedded/mobile system design, hardware architecture, board design, board bring-up, and product NPI.
- Experience with low power and battery powered embedded mobile designs.
- Experience with a broad range of PCB technologies such as rigid, flex, and rigid flex.
Responsibilities
- Work with cross-functional teams to develop hardware architecture for next generation systems.
- Design, implement, debug and characterize embedded systems geared for mobile applications.
- Lead new design concepts through exploration, prototyping, development, and into mass production.
- Collaborate with other team members, including software, mechanical engineering, industrial design, and outside partners.
