StubHub is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join its Data team, focusing on designing and building systems and pipelines for centralizing internal and third-party data. The role emphasizes empowering various organizations within the company to utilize data for analysis, reporting, and product development. The Senior Data Engineer will contribute to core infrastructure and frameworks while mentoring team members to uphold high standards in data engineering. This position requires a passion for data and software development to support StubHub's growth.

• 7+ years of relevant development experience in data platform or data engineering in fast-paced environments.
• Very high SQL proficiency with experience in both transactional RDBMS systems and distributed systems.
• Strong programming and system design skills.
• Experience designing and developing large-scale, efficient batch and streaming data processing.
• Ability to analyze large datasets to identify data quality issues and contextual insights.
• Experience mentoring and reviewing the work of junior team members.
• Passion for great data end-user experience and stewardship.
• Experience with data pipeline management and orchestration tools, such as Airflow.
• Experience with cloud-based data warehousing solutions, such as Snowflake, BigQuery, and Redshift.
• Experience with batch processing systems, such as Spark.

• Build and operate scalable data pipelines with robust QA, monitoring, and alerting.
• Create shared tooling to improve data practitioner productivity and quality across the company.
• Influence the direction for key infrastructure and framework choices for data pipelining and data management.
• Contribute to core cross-functional data models.
• Launch data platform features that have immediate impact on the velocity of innovation and growth of the business.
• Manage individual initiatives by setting priorities, deadlines, and deliverables based on technical expertise.
