StubHub is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to enhance the ticketing experience for fans by developing predictive models that address fulfillment issues and optimize customer service policies. This role focuses on the operational journey from ticket purchase to event entry, ensuring a seamless experience for both fans and sellers. The successful candidate will collaborate with various teams to translate business problems into effective data products. The position is hybrid, based in New York, NY or Century City, CA.

• 5+ years of industry experience in data science or machine learning, with an MS or PhD in a quantitative field preferred.
• Strong programming skills in Python, with experience using numerical and machine learning libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and scikit-learn.
• Demonstrated experience building, deploying, and iterating on production machine learning models in cloud environments.
• Expertise working with large-scale data using modern analytics platforms such as Snowflake or BigQuery, with strong proficiency in SQL.
• Excellent communication skills to articulate modeling assumptions and impact to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Own the science behind ticket fulfillment by crafting and deploying scalable machine learning models.
• Work with operations partners to shape roadmaps and identify high-impact opportunities.
• Apply principles of experimentation and causal inference to ensure rigorous evaluation of work products.
• Partner with platform and analytics teams to ensure data availability and quality.
