Job description

As a Software Engineer II at StubHub, you will be part of the Fulfillment team, which ensures the validity of every ticket delivered. Your main focus will be on building end-to-end post-purchase flows and partner integrations that enhance reliability and drive business impact at scale. You will collaborate with various teams to create fault-tolerant systems and improve the overall customer experience. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment that values innovation and collaboration.

Requirements

  • 3-4 years of experience building production software with a focus on backend and distributed systems.
  • Proficiency in Java, Python, or Golang, with experience in building and consuming APIs.
  • Experience in building scalable and reliable systems for real-time ticketing and post-purchase workflows.
  • Knowledge of designing async pipelines and streaming systems to handle peak traffic.
  • Experience operating cloud services such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and operate backend services and integrations for the post-purchase fulfillment pipeline.
  • Build fault-tolerant systems and async pipelines that scale for peak event traffic.
  • Own features end-to-end from requirements and architecture to implementation and monitoring.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Data, and QA teams.
  • Instrument services with robust observability to proactively detect and reduce fulfillment breakage.
