The Engineering Team Lead for Cloud Stability will oversee Bloomberg's private cloud infrastructure, which supports critical applications like the Terminal and News systems. This role focuses on ensuring high availability and reliability of cloud services while driving strategic initiatives for capacity management and automation. The Team Lead will inspire and motivate a team of engineers, fostering collaboration and partnerships across various stakeholders. Additionally, the position requires developing a vision for the cloud's operation and executing a roadmap to achieve optimal performance.

• At least 4+ years experience as a Team Lead of a software development team
• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technology field
• Ability to foster a collaborative team environment and drive a strong culture of teamwork
• Ability to effectively listen, communicate, challenge, and influence team members and stakeholders
• Experience building trust-based relationships with stakeholders for cross-team collaboration
• A solid foundation in software development, including best practices and maintainability
• Ability to reason about system behavior, failure domains, and scaling characteristics
• Architectural fluency across compute, storage, networking, and orchestration technologies

• Define and drive the strategic execution for running the private cloud
• Ensure reliability of cloud services and establish comprehensive observability
