Job description

StubHub is seeking a Software Engineer II to join the Web Foundations team within Consumer App Foundations. This role focuses on building and maintaining shared web platforms that enhance consumer experiences across web and mobile. As a fullstack engineer, you will work on both frontend and backend systems to create reusable services and libraries. The position emphasizes improving developer experience and solving real-world problems at marketplace scale.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of professional experience in software development
  • Experience building and shipping fullstack applications using modern frontend frameworks like React and backend technologies such as C#, Java, or Python
  • Strong understanding of APIs, service communication, and system dependencies
  • Experience working on consumer-facing products at scale
  • Proven ability to own projects from implementation through production support
  • Comfortable operating in fast-paced, experimentation-driven environments

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain fullstack features and platform services used by multiple teams
  • Develop reusable frontend components and shared backend APIs
  • Improve performance and reliability across high-traffic consumer systems
  • Contribute to experimentation infrastructure and feature enablement tooling
  • Debug production issues and continuously improve system health
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to understand platform needs and deliver scalable solutions
  • Write clean, maintainable code and participate in code reviews
