As a Senior Software Engineer in Network Security, you will play a vital role in managing Bloomberg's global network infrastructure. Your focus will be on building and maintaining a scalable, secure, and reliable network that connects various data centers and clients. • A bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a similar field of study or equivalent work experience.
• Proven experience with object-oriented programming languages, preferably in Python.
• Extensive experience as a Software, Network Production, or System Reliability Engineer.
• Experience with infrastructure automation or orchestration frameworks such as Ansible, Airflow, Terraform, Chef, or Salt.

• Develop and maintain software tools to manage a large-scale, multi-vendor network with an emphasis on automation.
• Automate the full network lifecycle, including provisioning, configuration, observability, testing, troubleshooting, and capacity planning.
• Collaborate with architecture and design teams to implement new technologies that ensure scalability and operational resilience.
• Enhance existing monitoring and observability frameworks to improve incident response.
• Define and measure service-level objectives to track infrastructure performance and reliability.
• Provide mentorship to junior engineers and promote software engineering best practices throughout the team.
