StubHub is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to design and develop advanced technologies that enhance the live event experience for millions of users. The role involves collaborating with the Supply Platform team to manage seller ticket inventory efficiently while ensuring operational costs are minimized through automation. Staff Engineers will focus on user needs and demonstrate leadership by mentoring team members. This position is hybrid, based in Aliso Viejo or Century City, CA.

• 10+ years of professional experience in software development
• Extensive experience developing robust, mission-critical systems using multiple general-purpose programming languages such as Java or C#
• Demonstrated expertise in building software in areas like Infrastructure, Databases, Data Processing, Machine Learning, Distributed Systems, Security, and Privacy
• Previous experience designing and developing solutions to complex problems with significant business impact
• A strong understanding of system interactions within the broader production environment
• Proven ability to learn other coding languages, platforms, frameworks, and tools
• Experience owning projects from initial idea to production
• Experience mentoring junior engineers

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain impactful improvements across all StubHub platforms and products
• Collaborate with team members to ensure best practices in coding
• Manage individual initiative priorities, deadlines, and deliverables using technical expertise
