The Equity Index Solutions Specialist will play a crucial role in driving the growth and adoption of Bloomberg's equity index offerings. This client-facing position requires deep expertise in equities, particularly in asset management or index provision. The specialist will collaborate with sales and relationship teams to translate complex index methodologies into actionable insights for institutional clients. This role combines technical depth with commercial acumen to influence product strategy and deliver impactful solutions.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in the equity space, including equity research, portfolio management, index strategy, or institutional sales.
- A strong grasp of equity index construction, methodologies, and their role in portfolio design.
- A proven track record in business development, client advisory, or revenue generation.
- Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills with the ability to simplify technical concepts.
- Commercial drive with the ability to manage pipelines and meet ambitious growth targets.
- CFA or equivalent is an advantage.
- High-level proficiency in data analysis; experience with backtesting or index analytics tools is a plus.
- Willingness to travel and engage with clients across regions.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a bonus.
Responsibilities
- Lead client engagement by delivering impactful presentations, running custom backtests, and articulating index methodologies clearly to investment professionals.
- Drive commercial outcomes by identifying opportunities to grow market share across traditional, ESG, factor-based, and custom equity indices.
- Support strategic product development by feeding client insights back to product, research, and engineering teams.
- Strengthen market visibility of Bloomberg's equity index capabilities through external meetings, thought leadership, and go-to-market initiatives.
- Build lasting partnerships with key clients at asset managers, pension funds, and other institutional investors.
- Contribute to strategic planning, including market sizing, competitive analysis, and post-launch product growth.
