Job description

The Senior Software Engineer role focuses on enhancing the Buy-Side Automation Frameworks team, which is dedicated to improving quality and reliability in software development. The team supports over 400 application engineers by providing critical tooling and infrastructure that facilitates automated testing and feedback. This position involves architecting foundational frameworks, leveraging AI for efficiencies, and fostering a quality-first culture across the department. The engineer will have a significant impact on the department's ability to deliver high-quality software efficiently.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience working with an object-oriented programming language such as Python, C/C++, or Java.
  • Experience with TypeScript is a plus.
  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a similar field of study, or equivalent work experience.
  • An understanding of Computer Science fundamentals such as data structures, algorithms, and system design.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD and automated testing.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and implement the foundational framework which supports automated testing.
  • Pioneer the use of AI to drive efficiencies and optimizations in frameworks and triage capabilities.
  • Challenge current solutions and assumptions by bringing innovative approaches to the work.
  • Quickly pick up new technologies and drive their adoption within the team.
  • Lead the adoption of automated testing and promote a quality-first culture across the department.
