Job description
The Process Mechanical Engineer role at Jacobs focuses on water and wastewater projects in Hawaii and the Western United States. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related engineering discipline
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- A minimum of 8 years of progressive process mechanical engineering and project delivery experience with water, wastewater, and/or industrial treatment
- Strong interest in treatment and/or mechanical system design and operation
- Proficient skills with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Responsibilities
- Evaluate pumping, treatment, and process options to determine the best approaches to solve client challenges
- Plan and design full-scale pumping and treatment systems, as well as treatment plant improvements for construction
- Develop facility layouts and process & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs)
- Create construction documents, including drawings and specifications
- Conduct data analysis and computer modeling
- Provide technical report writing and support for bidding and permitting services
- Support construction services and perform field inspections of treatment and mechanical equipment
