Job description
The Senior Electrical Engineer will provide technical leadership and oversight on advanced industrial facilities, particularly in semiconductor manufacturing. This role requires a deep understanding of electrical engineering principles and the ability to solve complex problems. The ideal candidate will work independently while also collaborating with project teams and clients. This position offers geographic flexibility for well-qualified candidates and emphasizes innovation and quality in electrical engineering design.
Requirements
- Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
- At least 12 years of experience in engineering design of building electrical systems
- Electrical design experience for semiconductor or mission critical facilities
- Solid working knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC) and IEEE standards
- Extensive design experience with electrical power system equipment/components
- Experience with power system modeling software, preferably ETAP
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Team lead experience
Responsibilities
- Provide engineering and design oversight for facility power distribution systems, grounding, and lighting.
- Prepare technical specifications and construction documents, ensuring alignment between drawings and specifications.
- Act as the Electrical discipline lead or Quality Control reviewer.
- Interact directly with clients, owners, and contractors to support construction activities on-site.
- Participate in proposals to identify solutions to problems clients didn’t even know they had.
- Recommend best practices and improve processes within the engineering team.
