Job description

The Electrical Engineer role at Jacobs involves working on advanced manufacturing projects, particularly in semiconductor manufacturing. Requirements

  • Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering
  • At least 6 years of experience in engineering design of building electrical systems
  • Solid working knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC) and IEEE standards
  • Extensive design experience with electrical power system equipment/components, such as switchgears, transformers, panelboards, generators, and UPS
  • Experience with power system modeling software, preferably ETAP
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Independently solve complex problems and provide technical resources to less-experienced colleagues
  • Lead small projects or areas within larger projects, managing schedules and technical quality
  • Proactively manage scope, budget, and design changes
  • Support coordination across disciplines and interact with clients
  • Contribute to the production of detailed electrical engineering deliverables such as installation details, wiring diagrams, layouts, schedules, and power, lighting, and grounding plans
