Job description
The Process Mechanical Lead Engineer at Jacobs will focus on designing water and wastewater pumping stations and treatment plants in Missouri. This role involves leading a team to deliver innovative solutions for municipal clients' challenges. The engineer will oversee the planning, design, and construction oversight of various projects while collaborating with other disciplines. Additionally, the position includes mentoring team members and setting standards for the process mechanical practice.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical Engineering, or a similar degree from an accredited university or college.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in various aspects of process mechanical design of water and wastewater systems.
- Holds an active professional engineering (PE) license with the ability to obtain a Missouri license within 6 months.
- Experience and familiarity with National Building Codes, EPA regulations, and 10 States Standards.
- Strong and effective verbal and written communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Plan, design, and oversee the construction of water and wastewater pumping stations and treatment plants.
- Prepare general arrangement drawings for treatment equipment and tanks.
- Design piping and pumping systems and evaluate equipment, piping materials, and valves.
- Coordinate with other project disciplines and direct the work of CAD designers.
- Serve as the point of contact for the process mechanical practice and mentor team members.
