Job description

The Drinking Water & Reuse Professional Engineer role at Jacobs involves working with multi-disciplinary teams to evaluate, optimize, design, and troubleshoot water treatment facilities. Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Civil, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PE) Licensure
  • 10+ years of progressive professional experience in relevant water treatment and process engineering
  • Demonstrated understanding of drinking water supply, reuse, master planning, and treatment processes and technologies
  • Self-motivated with involvement in professional societies or related activities
  • Experience with membrane treatment technologies, including membrane filtration, nanofiltration, and reverse osmosis is preferred
  • Project management experience and certification is ideal
  • Direct or indirect potable reuse project experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, optimize, design, and troubleshoot water treatment facilities.
  • Collaborate with local and global technology leaders to produce innovative solutions.
  • Drive the evaluation and incorporation of emerging technologies into projects.
  • Support business development efforts and pursue new projects.
  • Work directly with clients on projects and tasks.
  • Participate in team building and mentoring of younger engineers.
  • Present work to industry peers in magazines and at professional conferences.
