Job description
The Senior Electrical Engineer will work on Advanced Facilities and Life Sciences projects, focusing on the design and engineering of complex industrial facilities. This role involves collaborating with a global team of engineers and designers to deliver state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities. The engineer will be responsible for ensuring technical quality and adherence to client expectations while providing leadership and guidance to junior staff. The position requires effective communication with clients and team members in a dynamic environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program
- PE, Professional Engineer license preferred
- 8+ years of experience in electrical engineering design of buildings
- Solid working knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC)
- Ability to perform power system studies including short circuit, load flow, protective coordination, and arc flash studies
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Packages, Smartplant, Revit, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam Revu
Responsibilities
- Engineer and design facility power distribution systems, grounding, lighting, and construction specifications
- Evaluate system goals and develop, design, and select required equipment or power/controls
- Perform calculations and evaluations in the design of equipment and systems for industrial applications
- Direct activities to ensure construction and operational testing conform to specifications and standards
- Maintain effective communication with project team members and customers
- Prepare technical specifications and documents for bidding and construction
