Job description

The Assistant Project Manager/Field Engineer will join the Owner’s Project Management Team, focusing on managing building design and construction projects across Florida and surrounding states. This role involves delivering Construction Administration services for both renovation and new construction projects, which can range from $500K to $50M. The position requires supporting multiple projects concurrently, ensuring compliance with quality standards and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction project management and a commitment to achieving successful project outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in an Engineering discipline, Construction Management, or Architecture is required.
  • 3+ years of related construction project management experience with building projects is necessary.
  • Experience supporting multiple projects concurrently is essential.
  • Knowledge of materials, methods, and techniques used in building construction is required.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and organizational skills are needed.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is necessary.
  • A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to client sites are required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform field inspections and audits to verify compliance with contract documents and safety regulations.
  • Review and interpret project specifications, drawings, RFI’s, and submittals to ensure adherence to quality requirements.
  • Track and document non-conformance reports (NCRs) and oversee corrective actions to resolve quality issues.
  • Collaborate with contractors, subcontractors, and project teams to enforce quality standards and resolve issues.
  • Oversee and inspect construction activities to verify workmanship and adherence to project requirements.
  • Support pre-installation meetings, punch lists, and final inspections to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of safety regulations and industry best practices.
