Job description

The Senior Traffic Engineer will join Jacobs' Mid-Atlantic Advanced Mobility group, which consists of approximately 50 transportation planners, traffic engineers, and operations specialists. This role focuses on leading traffic studies, traffic signal design, and developing plans and specifications for traffic and ITS improvements. The engineer will collaborate with the sales team to expand the project portfolio with Maryland public agency transportation clients. This position offers the opportunity to work on large-scale infrastructure projects and apply innovative solutions to address future transportation demands.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field
  • Maryland Professional Engineering (PE) License, or the ability to obtain one
  • Experience leading the development of traffic studies, traffic signal design, plans, specifications, and estimates for traffic and ITS improvements for Maryland public agency clients
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel for site visits
  • Must be resourceful, curious, and self-directed
