Job description
The Mid-Level Mechanical Engineer position at Jacobs in Bellevue, Washington, is focused on building mechanical analysis and design for various projects, including education and healthcare facilities, data centers, and water treatment facilities. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
- Professional Engineering registration (P.E.) or the ability to obtain it.
- 7-15 years of relevant professional experience in infrastructure and building-related design projects.
- Ability to perform as a lead mechanical engineer.
- Experience working in a multi-discipline team with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with US building codes such as IMC, UMC, ASHRAE 90.1/62.1/62.2, IPC, and IBC.
Responsibilities
- Perform building mechanical analysis and design for a wide range of projects.
- Produce technical reports, construction drawings, and technical specifications.
- Support pipe sizing calculations, pump selection, piping systems, chemical systems, HVAC design, and hydraulic studies.
- Collaborate with clients, general contractors, and trade partners on project delivery strategies.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation within the design team.
