Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or ability to obtain within 1 year of employment
- At least 4 years of relevant professional experience in HVAC/Mechanical buildings-related design projects
- Experience working in a multi-discipline environment
- Proficiency in load calculation and energy modeling software such as Trane Trace 700 or Carrier HAP
- Knowledge of building codes and standards
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- United States Citizenship
Responsibilities
- Develop overall conceptual and basis of design level design approaches and documentation.
- Create HVAC and plant utility systems philosophies.
- Develop mechanical and utility equipment specifications.
- Perform temperature, humidity control, and utility load calculations.
- Create airflow diagrams, pressurization plans, and ductwork and piping plans.
- Develop building management system control philosophy and details.
- Assist in construction through submittal reviews and field visits.
- Direct activities of Revit Designers and utilize Revit as necessary.
- Manage and develop mechanical and utilities scope for project budgets and schedules.
- Travel as required for client development and project implementation.
