Jacobs is seeking a Structural Bridge Engineer to join their team in West Des Moines, Iowa. This role focuses on transportation projects, particularly bridge design and structural analysis. The engineer will serve in a technical role and may lead tasks on bridge design projects. The position offers the opportunity to work on both local and national projects, contributing to the development of innovative transportation structures.

• Bachelor of Science in Civil/Structural Engineering
• 6-10 years of relevant professional experience in bridge design and inspection
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in Iowa or ability to obtain within 6 months
• Solid understanding of standard engineering practices, techniques, and applicable codes
• Proficiency in bridge design software such as LEAP Concrete/Bridge and AASHTOWare BrR
• Working knowledge of CAD systems, specifically Bentley MicroStation or Bentley OpenRoads Designer

• Perform complex structural analysis and design for transportation projects
• Serve as a technical role and/or task lead on bridge design projects
• Develop design documentation, calculations, and specifications
• Conduct inspections as required on occasion
• Apply the AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications to transportation structures
