Job description

The Project Engineer - Water/Wastewater role at Jacobs involves working on various water, wastewater, and stormwater projects in New York City. The position focuses on supporting senior engineers and project managers in the delivery of municipal water projects. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related engineering discipline is required.
  • At least 10 years of consulting experience for water and wastewater clients is necessary.
  • Experience in serving various clients involving drinking water, wastewater, and stormwater conveyance systems is essential.
  • Demonstrated understanding of water and wastewater conveyance and/or treatment processes and technologies is required.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary.
  • Proficient knowledge of MS Office Suite and experience in AutoCAD and ESRIArcGIS is required.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team in the delivery of water, wastewater, and stormwater design projects.
  • Participate in planning, cost development and management, and scheduling for assigned projects and tasks.
  • Coordinate project assignments with other engineers and technicians within the local and regional water group.
  • Complete civil design calculations, sketches, technical comparisons, and similar technical work as required.
  • Assist in the development of plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Participate in professional organizations for marketing, industry recognition, networking, and building the Jacobs brand.
