Job description
As a Project Engineer at Jacobs in Los Angeles, you will play a crucial role in overseeing construction projects from inception to occupancy. You will coordinate the efforts of trades and design-field staff while ensuring that all work meets the highest quality and safety standards. This position allows you to support the Project Manager with project cost controls and budget management. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction, or a related discipline
- 4+ years of project-related experience
- Good working knowledge of pre-design and pre-construction processes, building systems, and technology
- Experience in contract management and project delivery methods
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the progression of trades and design-field staff on active projects
- Participate in Owner/Architect/contractor meetings throughout the construction process
- Ensure that all contractor and consultant work is of the highest quality with a focus on safety
- Support the Project Manager by developing and maintaining project cost/change controls and budgets
