Job description

As an Electrical Engineer in the Advanced Manufacturing group at Jacobs, you will contribute to the engineering, design, and construction of data centers and other mission-critical facilities. This role offers flexibility in location within the U.S. and emphasizes collaboration within a multi-discipline team. You will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of electrical design projects while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency. Your work will directly impact the development of smart environments that enhance community well-being.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related discipline
  • 3 or more years of experience in engineering design of medium and low voltage distribution systems
  • Extensive knowledge of and experience with industrial facility design
  • Working knowledge of Revit or BIM software
  • Solid working knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC) is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide design work for data center facility power distribution systems, UPS, emergency systems, grounding, lighting, and low voltage communications systems.
  • Contribute to team technical collaboration and perform quality reviews of design packages.
  • Assist directly with other portions of the design process and interact with clients, owners, and contractors.
  • Manage quality, scope, budget, and schedule for projects.
  • Work closely with the broader multi-discipline team to establish design requirements and produce construction documents.
