Job description
As a Process/Chemical Engineering Intern with Jacobs' Advanced Facilities team, you will contribute to solving real-life challenges in the advanced manufacturing industry. This role involves supporting critical projects while fostering a culture of continuous learning and inclusion. You will work alongside professional engineers and designers, gaining valuable exposure to project coordination and engineering software. Your contributions will help implement and maintain process designs for state-of-the-art projects.
Requirements
- Currently participating in the MECOP Co-op Program
- In pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering
- Working knowledge of ASPEN-HYSYS, PipeFlo, AFT Fathom, HTRI, WinGems, and SmartPlant preferred
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Responsibilities
- Provide support to teams on critical projects.
- Assist with the development of Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
- Model complex processes and develop process specifications.
- Ensure that design conforms to functional specifications, recognized codes and standards, and customer requirements.
