The Mechanical Engineer-in-Training position at Jacobs focuses on supporting the NY/NJ Mechanical and Fire Life Safety team in delivering transportation facilities projects. Requirements
- Higher Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience with Revit and AutoCAD
- Preferably possess an Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification
- Preferably have a recognized certificate or diploma in BIM or equivalent
- Solid experience in 3D modeling software applications, specifically Revit, BIM 360, and AutoCAD
- Good command of spoken and written English
Responsibilities
- Prepare 3D models and CAD drawings using appropriate design criteria and technical manuals
- Work closely with senior engineers under general supervision
- Interface with internal and external contacts for project coordination
- Coordinate with multiple project design disciplines for interference checking and quality control
- Support the BIM manager, BIM coordinator, and senior mechanical designer in BIM implementation on projects
