Job description

The Structural Engineer will join Jacobs' Arlington, VA office as part of the Federal Buildings & Infrastructure team. This role involves designing structural systems for various building types, including airports and government facilities. The engineer will work collaboratively with architects and engineers to ensure high-quality design deliverables. Requirements

  • Master’s degree in civil engineering with a structural emphasis
  • 5+ years of relevant buildings-related structural design experience
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Proficiency with structural design and analysis software such as ETABS, RISA, or RAM
  • Thorough knowledge of building codes and standards including IBC and ASCE
  • Desire to take independent initiative and ownership of work
  • United States citizenship

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for scope, schedule, budget, and technical quality of design deliverables.
  • Collaborate with architects and engineers to create integrated solutions.
