Job description

The Instrumentation and Controls Engineer will work on projects that are central to clients' businesses, focusing on designing and optimizing control systems for industrial and commercial facilities. This role involves collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team, ensuring technical quality and adherence to client expectations. The engineer will also provide on-site assistance during startup and coordinate activities with other team members. This position offers opportunities for mentorship and professional growth within a supportive environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Control Systems, or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • At least 6 years of experience working with Instrumentation and Control
  • Working knowledge of PLC, DCS, and other controls applications
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience mentoring junior professionals or leading small teams
  • Experience with Data Center Design is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Develop P&IDs and size valves for various projects
  • Specify instrumentation and document design information
  • Ensure compliance with building codes and industry standards
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and designers to deliver complete solutions
  • Provide on-site assistance during startup phases of projects
  • Coordinate work activities with other staff members and the discipline lead
  • Develop options and optimizations for process control, instrumentation, and automation
