Job description

The Water/Wastewater Engineer role at Jacobs involves working on various water, wastewater, and stormwater conveyance and treatment planning and design projects. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related engineering discipline is required.
  • PE license in the state of Connecticut is required or the ability to obtain it within one year.
  • Experience in serving various clients involving drinking water, wastewater, and stormwater conveyance systems.
  • Demonstrated understanding of water and wastewater conveyance and/or treatment processes and technologies.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient knowledge of MS Office Suite and experience in AutoCAD and ESRI ArcGIS.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate and work with a multi-disciplinary team in the delivery of water, wastewater, and stormwater design projects.
  • Participate in planning, cost development and management, and scheduling for assigned projects and tasks.
  • Coordinate project assignments with other engineers and technicians within the local and regional water group.
  • Complete civil design calculations for a variety of projects and assist in the development of plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Participate in professional organizations for marketing, industry recognition, networking, and building the Jacobs brand.
