Job description
The Industrial Water/Wastewater Engineer will join Jacobs' National Industrial Water Team, focusing on planning, design, and construction projects for industrial water clients. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, including data centers and manufacturing facilities, while supporting both municipal and industrial water initiatives. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and eager to grow both personally and professionally. This position allows for flexible work arrangements, including teleworking options.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in civil, chemical, environmental, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
- Professional Engineer license (PE or EIT).
- At least 5 years of consulting experience with industrial water and wastewater clients.
- Experience delivering industrial and municipal planning and design projects.
- Demonstrated understanding of process mechanical designs and water and wastewater unit processes.
Responsibilities
- Support the growing industrial water practice by delivering planning, design, and construction projects.
- Serve as a process engineer, discipline lead, or task lead for small to large projects.
- Lead technical innovation and quality solutions in project execution.
- Develop mass balances, process flow diagrams, and piping and instrumentation diagrams.
- Evaluate technical alternatives and prepare technical reports.
