Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering
  • Professional Engineer License (PE) or Structural Engineer License (SE), with the ability to gain licensing in other states across the US
  • 10+ years of experience in Structural Engineering
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Experience with US building codes including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI 350, and AISC

Responsibilities

  • Work with a team of Structural Engineers and Designers in the development of calculations, specifications, construction drawings, and the structural model.
  • Attend project meetings and take an active role in resolving concerns and solving problems across all disciplines.
  • Perform services during construction, including reviewing submittals and responding to contractor requests for information.
  • Conduct on-site condition assessments of existing structures and prepare technical memorandums summarizing observations and repair recommendations.
  • Competently perform all aspects of Structural Engineering analysis and design, exercising sound engineering judgement.
  • Provide technical guidance, coaching, and mentorship to designers and less experienced engineers.
