The Transportation Infrastructure Project Engineer will be part of the New England Structures group, focusing on civil and structural projects, particularly in tunnels. This role involves evaluating existing conditions, designing engineering solutions, and providing support during project execution. The engineer will respond to client requests and emergencies, developing tailored solutions for complex transportation systems. Collaboration with various disciplines and supervision of junior staff are key aspects of this position.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
- Experience working on Civil and Structural projects
- Working knowledge of standard office computer software, Bluebeam, and AutoCAD
- Experience working on active construction projects or around active roadways, tunnels, or transit facilities
- Availability to work outside the normal workday as required
- EIT Certificate or Professional Engineer (PE) License is preferred
Responsibilities
- Coordinate design and specifications development to meet client needs
- Provide construction and implementation support to clients
- Collaborate with team members and subconsultants to ensure project consistency
- Determine necessary equipment and PPE for evaluations and ensure safe access
- Supervise and assist in the development of junior staff assigned to projects
- Provide technical leadership and direction to the project team
