Job description
The Office Engineer Intern position at Jacobs focuses on providing support to the Cal Water Construction Management team in the Bay Area and Northern California. The role involves working alongside experienced professionals and gaining exposure to various projects, particularly in residential water tank sites. Interns will contribute to a culture of continuous learning and inclusion while developing their skills in engineering and project management. This position is ideal for students pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
Requirements
- In pursuit of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management from an accredited program.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0 is preferred.
- Previous internship, teaching assistance, or research related to water engineering design is ideal.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management.
Responsibilities
- Generate meeting minutes for project discussions.
- Review contractor submittals and provide feedback.
- Generate Request for Information (RFI) documentation.
- Review contractor change orders for compliance.
- Maintain project logs and documentation.
- Keep as-builts and redlines updated throughout the project lifecycle.
