Job description
As a Senior Electrical Engineer at Jacobs in Orlando, FL, you will join a team focused on integrated building services design. Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE)
- Professional Engineer license (PE)
- 8+ years of Electrical Engineering experience, particularly in MEP firms focusing on Mission Critical applications
- Experience with project deliverables such as design reports, drawings, and specifications for power distribution applications
- Knowledge of NEC, IES, NFPA 70E, and IEEE Color Book Series
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SKM or ETAP, and Computer Based Lighting Software
Responsibilities
- Design full low and medium voltage electrical systems, including power, lighting, fire alarm, and signaling systems.
- Prepare load analysis for each stage of design and direct a design team in the preparation of detailed project electrical systems drawings.
- Prepare and document project energy compliance to applicable energy codes.
- Select and prepare specifications for electrical equipment and coordinate work with engineers of other disciplines and project architects.
- Maintain confidentiality with clients and projects.
