Job description
The Senior Construction Engineer role at Jacobs focuses on overseeing civil, roadway, and structural field inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and contract documents. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering, Engineering Management, or a related field.
- 5 years of work experience in transit, roadway, and/or bridge construction engineering.
- Prior experience with post-tensioning systems is required.
- Certifications in Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) are preferred.
Responsibilities
- Conduct daily civil, roadway, and structural field inspections to ensure contractor compliance.
- Perform structural bridge inspections and inspect roadway construction activities.
- Lead construction progress meetings with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Prepare and reconcile contractor pay estimates and maintain accurate records.
- Review contractor submittals and prepare daily construction reports detailing activities.
