As a Building Mechanical Engineer at Jacobs, you will play a crucial role in designing mechanical systems for various infrastructure projects, primarily focusing on municipal facilities for water and wastewater. • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or chemical engineering from an ABET accredited institution is preferred.
• 10+ years of experience producing plumbing, HVAC, odor control, and fire protection design drawings and specifications.
• PE License, or ability to obtain immediately upon hire.
• Working knowledge of applicable building codes and standards such as ASHRAE, NFPA, SMACNA, and IBC.
• Good writing skills and experience preparing technical specifications and reports.

• Lead the planning and design of mechanical systems for municipal facilities.

• Conduct field evaluations and develop as-built drawings.
• Manage and coordinate work with architects, technicians, and engineers of other disciplines.
