Job description
The Structural Engineer Professional Intermediate role at Jacobs focuses on performing structural design for various facilities, including water and wastewater pump stations and treatment plants. Based in Corvallis, Oregon, this position requires collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure structural integrity across projects. The engineer will also provide construction support and conduct site inspections during the construction phase. This hybrid role allows for a mix of in-office and remote work.
Requirements
- Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering or a related field
- 2 years of work experience in Structural Engineering or a related occupation
- Engineer in Training (EIT) or Engineering Intern (EI) licensure
- Expertise in structural design software and knowledge of US building codes
Responsibilities
- Perform structural design for facilities such as water and wastewater pump stations and treatment plants
- Conduct structural analysis and design using steel, concrete, and masonry materials
- Prepare technical documentation, including reports, specifications, and construction drawings
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to maintain structural integrity across projects
- Provide construction support by reviewing submittals and responding to Requests for Information (RFIs)
- Perform site inspections and observations during the construction phase of various projects
