Job description

The Structural Engineer will be a key member of the design team, responsible for performing structural analysis and design for various projects. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with other engineers and disciplines. The engineer will develop design concepts and ensure structural requirements are accurately communicated. Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering
  • Structural Engineer License (SE) or Professional Engineer License (PE) preferred
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in Structural engineering
  • Experience with US building codes including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, and AISC
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

  • Perform all conventional aspects of Structural Engineering analysis and design with minimal supervision.
  • Exercise sound engineering judgment and problem-solving skills.
  • Check calculations and work of other engineers for accuracy.
  • Manage workload and take ownership of assigned work to meet project requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced engineers.
  • Lead a team in the development of calculations, specifications, and construction drawings.
