Job description

The Structural Engineer will join the Federal Buildings & Infrastructure team at Jacobs, focusing on designing structural systems for various building types, including airports and government facilities. This role involves collaboration with architects and engineers to deliver high-quality design solutions. The engineer will be responsible for managing project scope, schedule, budget, and technical quality. Opportunities for national and international travel are available due to Jacobs' global reach.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in civil engineering with a structural emphasis
  • 5+ years of relevant buildings-related structural design experience
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Proficiency with structural design and analysis software such as ETABS, RISA, or RAM
  • Thorough knowledge of building codes and standards including IBC and ASCE
  • Desire to take independent initiative and ownership of work
  • United States citizenship

Responsibilities
