Job description

The Senior Mechanical Engineer will work on advanced facilities projects, focusing on plumbing systems within industrial and commercial facilities. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and leadership, as the engineer will serve as a Subject Matter Expert in plumbing design and codes. The position involves collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams and offers opportunities for mentoring junior engineers. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • At least 10 years of practical application of mechanical engineering and plumbing design in complex industrial facilities
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Extensive on-site field experience with the construction and installation of industrial plumbing systems
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams
  • Strong comprehensive knowledge of International Plumbing Code (IPC)

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for schedule and technical quality of engineering tasks
  • Provide on-site assistance during startup and coordinate work activities with other professionals
  • Deliver on the design, development, application, evaluation, recommendation, and specification of plumbing systems
  • Solve complex problems and identify innovative solutions independently
  • Lead a functional team or project and serve as a quality resource
  • Mentor junior team members to help them grow and develop their skills
