The Senior Highway Design Engineer role at Jacobs focuses on planning, designing, and delivering complex transportation projects in Atlanta, Georgia. This position requires deep technical expertise in roadway and highway geometric design, utilizing tools such as MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer. The engineer will lead multidisciplinary design teams and mentor junior engineers while collaborating with internal teams and clients. • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
• Minimum of 9+ years of progressive professional experience in infrastructure, roadway, and/or highway design
• Proficiency with MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration or the ability to obtain Georgia PE licensure
• Strong understanding of geometric design principles, design standards, and industry best practices

• Lead and perform advanced roadway and highway geometric design using MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer
• Develop and oversee roadway plans, traffic control plans, technical reports, and design related calculations
• Provide senior level coordination with multidisciplinary teams, project managers, and client stakeholders
• Review and validate construction drawings, specifications, quantities, and cost estimates to ensure accuracy, constructability, and quality
• Mentor and guide junior engineers and interns, offering technical direction and supporting skill development
