Job description

The Site Civil Engineer role at Jacobs involves supporting site development design projects in Knoxville or Chattanooga. As a key member of the Civil Site team, you will work on various projects, including site civil layout, grading, drainage design, and utility design. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.
  • Professional engineering experience in site layout, grading and drainage, utility design, and erosion and sediment control.
  • Experience preparing, assembling, and reviewing construction drawings and technical specifications.
  • Project management experience or a demonstrated interest in assuming project management responsibilities.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Tennessee or ability to obtain via reciprocity preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support site development design projects ranging from small site designs to large building projects.
  • Work on site civil layout, grading, drainage design, utility design, and erosion control.
  • Collaborate closely with project teams through all phases of plan production.
  • Carry projects from concept design to bid-ready documents and into construction.
