The Electrical Engineering Department Manager for Energy and Power at Jacobs will lead a team of approximately 35 electrical engineers across North America. This role focuses on managing diverse energy design projects, including power generation and electrical distribution. The manager will also engage with clients to assess their energy needs and develop innovative solutions. This position requires strong leadership and collaboration skills to drive project delivery and business growth.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Advanced Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Power Engineering or related engineering discipline
- Professional Engineering License
- At least 15 years of design and consulting experience in the energy field
- Proven ability to engage with clients and develop relationships
- Strong communication and technical writing skills
Responsibilities
- Manage a team of electrical engineers to provide advisory and design solutions for energy projects
- Coordinate manpower for the energy and power portfolio and support sales with pursuits and proposals
- Prepare work plans, design schedules, and design fee estimates for engineering projects
- Participate in industry conferences, client interviews, and recruitment activities
- Achieve department billability levels in alignment with company performance targets
