Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
- At least 10 years of relevant professional experience designing structures for maritime, civil works, and buildings.
- Experience working in a multi-disciplined environment.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills including presentations.
- Proficiency in structural finite element analysis software such as ETABS, RISA, RAM, STAAD, SAP2000, or MathCAD.
- Knowledge of technical codes and standards including IBC, ASCE, and UFC.
- United States Citizenship.
Responsibilities
- Lead project teams through the design process for various infrastructure projects.
- Interact directly with clients, owners, and contractors to ensure project success.
- Accountable for schedule, scope, budget, and quality of engineering tasks and construction documents.
- Build relationships with Civil Works staff across Jacobs’ lines of business.
- Coordinate design activities with waterfront ports and maritime engineers on coastal and inland waterways projects.
