The Senior Bridge Engineer will play a key role in expanding Jacobs' long-span and complex bridge practice. This position involves leading technical efforts on national bridge projects, focusing on both vehicular and rail bridges. The engineer will be responsible for complex structural planning, analysis, and design, while also providing construction support services. The role offers opportunities for growth through business development and client engagement.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in structural engineering.
- PE License required and ability to obtain license in multiple states.
- A minimum of fifteen years of demonstrated professional experience as Engineer of Record or Lead Engineer.
- Proficient with Design/Build, Progressive Design/Build, P3 and CM/GC project delivery.
- Solid understanding of and practical experience with a variety of design codes, specifications and procedures for both highway and rail/transit bridge structures.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a Technical/Task Lead on projects, including for Design-Build projects.
- Establish work plans and multidisciplinary staffing for bridge projects.
- Direct and coordinate the activities of Project Engineers, Engineers and Technicians.
- Ensure the overall quality and coordination of the work performed.
- Mentor staff level engineers and represent Jacobs at key client or contractor meetings.
