Job description

The Associate Level Software Engineer role at Jacobs focuses on software development for military aircraft solutions. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related scientific or engineering discipline.
  • At least 6 years of experience in software development.
  • Proficient in object-oriented programming with experience in Visual Studio, C#/.NET, NodeJS, and JavaScript/Typescript.
  • Experience with common web frameworks and technologies such as HTML5, CSS, and React.
  • Ability to communicate design processes and technical challenges effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to a team of engineers designing, building, and maintaining stable software using a Scaled Agile Framework.
  • Perform technical tasks including design, requirements documentation, and code testing procedures.
  • Maintain collaboration with Product Owners, Software Architects, DevOps, Security, and UX engineers.
  • Participate in daily stand-ups to provide status updates and address technical issues.
  • Engage in pull request reviews, system demos, planning meetings, and retrospectives.
